Communication by Design

Companies and organizations need to clearly disseminate information to their clients, prospective clients, the public and/or their own employees in the best possible, most economic way. With good writing and good design, that can be accomplished with a new or updated website and printed materials such as a brochure, newsletter or flyer.

For more than 20 years my role has been to facilitate the process
of communication using words and images. Although modes of communication have changed, the need for precision, clarity and educated design choices that attract and inform the reader has not.

You may wonder why it is important to choose a designer for your project rather than someone with no design background who has learned to operate a web-building or desktop publishing computer program. When you look at websites and printed information you have probably noticed that some look busy and confused – high on annoying special effects and low on readability. With good design the finished product is inviting and the information you need is easy to find.
